Creekwood Gardens is 20 acres of quiet and serene gardens, trails, and waterfalls. It is owned by Gary Cathey of Simsboro, LA. The gardens are located 15 miles west of Ruston, and 5 miles south of Arcadia off of highway 147 South. Gary has been designing and cultivating the 20-acre garden area on a 36-acre plot once owned by his grandfather. The first structure in the gardens was a small two bedroom home Gary moved onto the property, which has now been renovated into a nice spacious and comfortable home. The home is located in the gardens, but separated from the conservatory and cabins by two large ponds. Creekwood also has three other structures in the gardens. The first is the large conservatory often used for weddings, receptions, proms and other special occassions. The gardens have several different arbors, gazebos, and decks to choose from for your occassion. Creekwood also offers two Bed & Breakfast cabins for guests. The Laskey House and the Hunt House have a very rustic look nestled among the trees, flowers, waterfalls and trails. Once inside, once can enjoy some modern-day amenities such as Jacuzzi, Satellite Television, and more.
